DIGITAL CAD/CAM TECHNOLOGY

CAD/CAM dental systems refer to the software used to both design and mill dental prosthetics. CAD (Computer Aided Design) includes digitally scanning and designing prosthetics, while CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) is the process of sending final models to the output device and manufacturing them through milling or 3D printing. DGSHAPE devices and software are specifically engineered to perfectly fit into this digital workflow.

With the use of this technology, we are able to discuss specific cases with practitioners as we create the restorations. We can show them computer screen shots of the actual designs. This eliminates the possibility of delays in pickup and delivery which used to be inevitable before with the older styles of communication. Having better communication and eliminating chances of having issues mean we are also able to save both our doctors’ and their patients’ time significantly.

Procera CAD

Due to the advancements in the CAD/CAM dental field, clients have numerous types of restorations available by using the system. Practices that invest in a scanner typically use it to create:

  • Crowns & Bridges
  • Inlays & Onlays
  • Veneers
  • Implants
  • Dentures
  • Orthodontic & Bite Appliances

3shape CAD

We are capable of printing 3D realistic models with true-to-life look and feel for:

  • Crown and bridge
  • Veneers
  • Full mouth cases
  • Implant models (with metal analogues)
  • Study models
  • Diagnostic wax ups
  • Orthodontic appliances
  • Orthotics, (both fixed and removable)
  • Nightguards

The accuracy and reliability of our 3D printing services allow Balmoral Dental Lab to provide a seamless workflow and even better service to our worldwide digital dentistry clientele.

3D Printer

Balmoral Dental Lab is committed to providing the most effective and precise dental lab work available in the industry. We have incorporated 3D digital printing to help with the digital workflow. Our 3D Printers are VERY accurate. We have found them to be as accurate as any PV impression model or milled model.

Next-level digital dentistry is here. Balmoral Dental 3D digital printers bring advanced triple-jetting technology to dental models.

In-House Milling

We mill zirconia copings, crowns, bridges, PMMAs (for temporary restorations), all-on-x zirconia bridges and PEEK (polyetheretherketone) bars.

  • Allows our patients a same day service with ultra-accurate prosthetics – produced with an easy-to-operate machine and simplified workflow
  • Open architecture allows seamless integration with existing scanning devices

Balmoral offers dental milling equipment that is unsurpassed in its precision engineering and quality. Our products are result of amazing work of ongoing design and development at Balmoral Dental Design.
